FAQs

Can I really name it whatever I like?

Yes, so long as it’s in good taste. We do not allow profanity.

Can I visit my land?

Yes, and we hope that you do! The area is perfect for visiting, but please check the tide times before you come. The estates we are selling just now are visible (and visitable!) most of the time.

What are my rights of ownership?

You will obtain a personal right of ownership to a souvenir plot of land. Souvenir plots of land were first defined in Section 4(b) of the Land Registration (Scotland) Act of 1979. This definition was later updated by the Land Registration etc. (Scotland) Act 2012.

Essentially, a souvenir plot of land is so small that it has only commemorative or sentimental value.

We remain as the registered landowner, which allows us to manage the land on your behalf.
